HERE is a Christian homeschool support group that has a mission of assisting local families in their God-given responsibility to educate their children by providing enrichment and recreational opportunities to homeschooled students.  You need to know that you can be a Godly mom and also a wise educator at home!  Stay the course, continue the journey, and complete it with joy!

 

To do this, we want to give you "value-added" experiences in your homeschool journey that create a sense of community and family with which you interact personally, where you feel a part of something greater than yourself that is of benefit to your family.

 

We value our privilege to homeschool as the best way to influence our children's spiritual walks through early life. We also know that, as their parents, we know our children best, and thus recognize that we can present the best academic environment in which their individual learning strengths and weaknesses can be nurtured.  Though it is NOT required that a member of HERE be a follower of Jesus Christ, it must be understood that HERE was founded and continues to function through faith in, and prayer to, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  (Voting Board members must be faith-professing Christians who sign a Statement of Faith and have been a member in good standing for at least one year. As individual homeschooling families, it is our mission to raise our children in light of Deuteronomy 6:4-7.

“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.  Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.  These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts.  Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down, and when you get up.”  Deuteronomy 6:4-7 (NIV)
